Hi Rick, for your No Bo I’d go with the Blue Ox TrackPro part # BLU36FR. With a 455 lb dry tongue weight, the 200 lb to 600 lb TrackPro is a really nice match for this trailer and gives you both the weight distribution and sway control I’d want behind your 2022 Chevy Colorado.
The major advantage of the TrackPro for your setup is how the spring bars work. Instead of hanging from chains like the Blue Ox SwayPro, the TrackPro bars sit directly on rigid brackets mounted to the trailer frame. Those bars use leverage to distribute the trailer’s tongue weight back across the truck and trailer axles, helping keep the Colorado level and keeping weight where you want it on the front axle for good steering and braking. I like that solid connection on a smaller truck and trailer combination like yours.
You also get friction sway control right at those brackets. As the trailer tries to move side to side, the bars rubbing against the brackets create resistance to help keep that movement from building. The SwayPro is a great system too, but it uses chains and the geometry of the hitch head to manage sway rather than that direct friction at the frame brackets. For your No Bo, I prefer the straightforward, planted feel of the TrackPro.
If this were my Colorado pulling the No Bo, the # BLU36FR is the Blue Ox system I’d put on it. Which No Bo model are you getting?
