I want to replace baggage door handle 12055-37 on 1999 Southwind Fleetwood F53 motorhome and latch RD26MR. Can you help me with this? Thanks Larry

Hey Larry, yes the RV Designer Door Latch part # RD26MR will work great to replace the 12055-37 latch you have as this is a Fleetwood style latch exactly like what you have so it would be an easy and simple replacement/install. Is your old latch broken?

Hi Jameson. I screwed up the RD26MR. The keyed latch won’t lock or unlock. It’s sloppy. Also the keyed latch has #5058937 embedded in the plastic.

This is original equipment, it’s nothing I ordered. I just want to buy one

@LarryT oh well in that case you'd just need to order the part # RD26MR to replace your damaged one.

1 of the pins that hold the handle in place is not doing its job. It appears that it’s to short not keeping the handle in place.

No, there’s 2 pins (1 on each side of the handle). I’m not sure what the name of it is, but it’s the piece that has the lock on it that I lift up to open the door

I believe what you're looking for is the Fleetwood Style Compartment Door Trigger Latch #37210935. This latch measures 4-1/4" long x 2" between mounting holes, and is the same Fleetwood style your current one has.
