Features to know about

More Lifting Range with Less Work: Drop Leg Adds 13-1/2" of Adjustment

Raising or lowering a trailer doesn’t need to mean endless cranking. This square weld-on jack gives you a full 28-3/4" of total adjustment — 15-1/4" of lift plus a 13-1/2" drop leg adjustment. The drop leg saves time by taking up the gap quickly, so you can get hitched or leveled without stacking blocks. A simple pin and clip hold the leg where you want it, making setup fast and reliable every time.

Smooth Cranking Every Time: Sidewind Handle with Grease Zerk

The sidewind handle keeps things comfortable and easy to control, even under load. With a 7-3/4" handle radius and built-in grease zerk, you can keep the screw mechanism lubed without taking the jack apart. That means smoother turning and less wear after years of use. The zinc-finished handle also looks clean and resists corrosion, so it stays easy to grip and turn.

Built to Handle Tough Conditions: Square Tube Strength and Powder-Coated Finish

This jack is made for real-world use where dirt and weather are part of the job. The square tubing gives it more side-load capacity than round jacks, so it stays stable when the ground isn’t perfect. The outer tube has a black powder coat, and the inner tube and footplate are zinc finished to fight off rust. The welded-on footplate spreads the weight so it doesn’t sink into soft ground, keeping the trailer level and secure.

Tight Spaces Made Easy: Compact Weld-On Mounting

When space around the tongue is limited, a clean weld-on design helps everything fit better. This jack mounts directly to your trailer frame for a solid connection without extra hardware getting in the way. Reviewers appreciated how it replaced older, bulky jacks and solved clearance issues with tailgates. It’s a straightforward install that keeps things tidy and functional.

Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Jack - Square Direct Weld Jack - e32ZV

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this square direct well jack with footplate and included drop leg using a side wide handle with a capacity lift of 5,000 pounds. Now folks, this is a utility jack. It's gonna let you rise and lower your trailer. It's ideal for agriculture and commercial applications alike.

It's a square jack, it's a two and a quarter by two and a quarter inch square tubing on the outside. The inner tubing here is two inch by two inch and the side wind makes it a lot easier, in my opinion, to go up and down, not hit your hand on the trailer and the other stuff while you're going up or down. Now the drop leg here is gonna give you increased drop capability. So what do I mean by a drop leg Pull the pin out. Literally this leg can go all the way out if I allow it to.

But the theory is, or the concept rather, it's not a theory, this is gonna come down before you start cranking. You go as low as you can and let's say I was hitting the ground, then you'd have to raise it up to the next hole and then you're only cranking down a little bit. So I'm gonna go ahead and leave this off, just so I can give you some quick dimensions. And so you can see you've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 holes here. And then obviously the pin goes through 'em.

As far as adjustment, when I measured center to center on these holes, I was getting right about three and three eighth inches on center between these holes, except for these two right here. So here to here, three and three eighths, here to here, three and three eighths, here to here, three and three eighths. But here to here was three and a half. And so just keep that in mind as far as that measurement if it matters to you. But the main part is you've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 holes here for adjustments.

So, and again, that just simply goes inside the jack tube. And if I want to go this high, let's say, I put the pin in there, keep cranking until I reach my desired height. And in reverse, once I got the pressure off of it, I could just push the leg back inside to limit how much I have to crank on this to get it to go up or down faster. And that just means the pulling the jack faster saves you time, energy and whatnot. Now it's a side crank candle, as I said, the handle here spins as a crank, you get a grease zerk right here, that's gonna be for maintenance. You always wanna make sure you're lubricating the gears inside of the jack to keep everything operating correctly. As far as some dimensions on the flip plate, I got right exactly seven inches on the length. And then overall, I got four inches on a width. So seven long by four inches wide. Lift capacity is 5,000 pounds. Whenever it's fully retracted, I got 24 and five eighth inches fully retracted. And then whenever I cranked this up earlier and got a measurement, fully extended, I got 39 and seven eighth inches. Now that being said, you may have an eighth of inches difference if you measure 'em at home or wherever, just because the tolerances in the metal and how far that screw actually travels compared to the next one, next to it or something. So again, eighth of an inch isn't a big deal, but just keep that in mind whenever you're measuring yours if you're worried about those kind of things. Now as far as mounting this, as I said before when we started, it's a direct weld jack, meaning you have to weld this onto your trailer. There's no brackets to bolt it on or anything like that. You weld it in place. I recommend if you're not a welder, get it done by a certified welder to be sure it's safe and correctly. The outside tube here, as you see, is black powder-coated and it has a zinc finish on the inner tube itself in the foot plate, and that's gonna stop that corrosion and those kind of things as well. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look together today at this square jack, and again, a direct weld-on jack with footplate. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

These are great jacks, I have been replacing all of the tongue jacks on my trailers with these. The drop leg foot is so handy, you don't have to crank on the jack forever.
I have bought several from etrailer and recommend them as the best place to get these, great price, fast delivery, great customer service.

arrived quickly and exactly as describe d.

I have two of these on the back of my dump trailer for stabilizer legs when loading my skidsteer. Still working good after one year.

by:

The product was a perfect fit

by:

It has been fantastic so far. I installed it as a replacement for the jack on the front of my 10k equipment trailer after the handle on the original jack broke off. I wish I had ripped the old jack off the day I bought the trailer and put this on in its place. MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to use, especially when the trailer is loaded.

by:

Well it's been a year and still working perfectly, keep them greased up and should last a long time. This is my second purchase of this, have them on both of my trailers. Thanks for a great product Etralier

by:

I'm sorry I didn't replace this sooner! Works 100% better than my old jack, easy install. I would definitely buy again.

7000 lb trailer jack with grease fitting is smoother than I expected. Great Value. Easy on line order and great shipping. Thanks for the attention to my order

by:

These jacks work great on our cable reel trailers we make here at Utiliquip. They weld on easily and can usually be repaired when someone drives away with the jack down or catches the handle on something and bends it. We use them as stabilizer jacks on our 14000lb GVWR trailer and they work gret!

by:

Makes a great stabilizer jack for my trailer when loading my tractor. Dont have to worry about putting wooden blocks under the back or have to carry any around anymore.

by:

the side winder jacks we purchased work very well, good pricing and sturdy.it also arrived on time as promised and we are quite pleased! thank you

by:

I like the direct weld jacks. But I wish at least the outside tube was thicker with a little moe clearance with the inner tube. I put them on a 2020 Griffon 14’x7 ton dump trailer. I could not weld them directly to the trailer frame because I would not be able to crank the handles. I had to weld 1/2” x6” plates to the jacks to off set them farther from the fenders. I might use a little to much heat. Before I welded them the crank handles were very free. After welding they bind a little bit. But they still work great.

by:

I bought the Square Direct Weld Sidewind Jack w Footplate Trailer Jack for a used trailer I acquired, welded it on and have used it with out any problems. The footplate option is great for getting the jack up high enough to clear things when backing and driving over uneven ground.I would buy it again if ever needed.

by:

Heavy duty jack at a great price.Awesome transition and delivery!

by:

The product is excellent quality, and is being welded onto my dump trailer as we speak. However……the box that it was shipped in was not adequate for the weight and shape of the jack and it was escaping from both ends of the box. Might suggest a zip on the handle to keep it in place during handling.

It was delivered in a timely manner, and the part was almost an exact replica of what we had.

by:

Excellent product, FAST free delivery.

by:

Same thing / no packaged weight and dimensions advised for this shipment.

by:

The product was great the packing was very bad and the box was ripped open from shipping and poor packaging

by:

Works great and now if an accidental press of my electric tailgate happens then I won’t have damage from my jack.

Not damaging your tailgate is definitely a plus, Robert! I see a lot of people with dents from doing just this very thing (or backing into things with it down), so being able to avoid that is satisfying, for sure. : ) What kind of truck do you have? Electric tailgate sounds like it must be pretty nice!
