Install Harness Recommendation for 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Redarc Tow Pro Liberty

Updated 07/14/2026 | Published 07/12/2026

Question:

Purchased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with Trailer Tow package. There is a brake controller plug located in the Jeeps lower left panel. What adapters do I need to make this unit work?

Hey Bruce, the correct install harness for the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR in your 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the factory tow package would be the part # RED77FR which does plug right into the port you found under your lower left panel. With just this connector the brake controller would be ready to use! What are you planning on towing?

Bruce, When my connector cable arrived, it took me a couple minutes to realize that the male end of the plug was covered with the female end that matched the one on my truck. Once I took that off life got much easier. :-) Once installed and self-calibrated, it worked great. I'm pretty impressed with the simplicity of the control. Enjoy.

@BillJ glad you like the controller! I just sold my brother and Dad on it and they like it a lot as well.

My 2024 KIA Telluride came with a short harness in the glove box which made my hookup to the controller quick and easy. The whole system works perfectly. I would think the Jeep having a factory towing package would come with the car or a factory harness may be a part to access from the dealer.
