Best Universal Ball Mount For Towing U-Haul Trailer With 2015 Honda Odyssey

Question:
Hi, I ordered my Curt hitch recently. I have a 2015 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite. Is there a universal ball mount and ball setup that is used with my van? If I do tow a trailer it would be a universal type trailer from U-haul. There are so many different sizes to choose from upside down, right side up that I really want to make one purchase. Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out! Yes, there is. For your 2015 Honda Odyssey, I'd recommend the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR.
It fits your 2" receiver and includes both a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball, so it'll work with the vast majority of trailers you're likely to rent from U-Haul or elsewhere. The adjustable design offers up to 6" of rise or drop, making it easy to keep different trailers level without having to buy multiple ball mounts.
While there isn't a truly "universal" ball mount that fits every possible trailer, this one comes about as close as it gets. Between the two common ball sizes and the adjustable height, you should be well covered for utility trailers, cargo trailers, and most other rentals you might tow with your Odyssey.

Hello Robert. I have had this adjustable mount for a year now. I like the fit/finish and overall quality of the build. It is easy to setup ( a bit heavy but needs to be) and a good range of adjustment for the 4-5 different trailers I pull. The one drawback- there is no 1 7/8 ball, but I don’t haul anything with that size. You can always get a second head for that size if you really need it.

Thanks Jesse. That may just do it. If I tow anything it would be an 8' open Uhaul trailer or possibly a small 10' cargo trailer. It would mostly be around town. Nothing too crazy.
