Question:

Recently we changed tow vehicles for our motor home. We now have a 2026 Yukon. As a result of the new tow equipment install, we now have a rock guard XL. We miss having a bracket on our motorhome that allows for the rock guard storage when not affixed to the front of our Yukon. Do you have one available? Thanks in advance.

We sure do Tony! To secure your Guardian XL Rock Shield item # RM82DQ to your motorhome, you'll need the Stowaway Storage System item # RM64MW.

The Stowaway Storage System item # RM64MW comes with a bracket that mounts on the 2" shank of your tow bar. It'll provide a platform that'll allow you to secure the Guardian XL Rock Shield item # RM82DQ to the back of your motorhome for storage.

Please note that the Stowaway Storage System item # RM64MW will only work if you are using a tow bar that fits a 2" hitch receiver.

I attached a couple of pictures below along with a video we made so you can see what this setup looks like installed. Just a heads up the pics and video are for the standard Guardian Rock Shield storage system. It's an identical setup process for the larger one item # RM64MW that works with the Guardian XL item # RM82DQ.

What kind of motorhome do you have and do you have a 2" tow bar?

Thank you. I will want one when they’re available. The shield is huge and problematic to store, especially if you were spoiled by the original rock guard shield.

@Tony You're welcome! I definitely can see how storing the Guardian XL Rock Shield item # RM82DQ would be difficult. The Stowaway Storage System item # RM64MW is going to make that issue a lot easier.
