Question:
What is the maximum length of the spring bar from the hitch ball to the vertical frame hanger/lift bracket? How does this type of WDH work as regards bringing the spring bar onto the hanger/lift bracket bracket? My current system uses mechanical lift of a chain onto a hanger, so Im unclear how this system brings the spring bar into operating position. Im trying to solve a geometry problem on my A-frame, where the current lift bracket does not fit where my other device mount attaches to A-frame. Im hoping this product would permit more clearance, so that the hanger is vertical to the spring bar. I need around 32-33inch Sorry I was not able to upload photo. Thanks

Welcome back Brad! The brackets can be mounted as far back as 32" from the center of the hitch ball on the Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch item # WS94RR. That dimension is measured from the center of the 2" wide bracket. At it's farthest range the brackets will cover 31"-33" of your trailer's frame from the center of the hitch ball.
The trunnion bars for the Weigh Safe item # WS94RR will slide into the brackets from the side while your trailer is still on the jack. Once you place the weight on your truck the bars will be in the correct position after the initial setup. It includes a lever to help you get the spring bars attached to the brackets but you shouldn't need to use it. It'll be quite a bit easier to get set up than the Curt weight distribution hitches like the item # C17051 you said you were using the last time we spoke.
I attached a demonstration video below we made on the Weigh Safe item # WS94RR. If you skip to the end you'll see exactly how the bars get placed on the brackets.
If you're still pulling the same 4,000 lbs trailer, I recommend the Weigh Safe item # WS79VR. It's going to work with tongue weights up to 850 lbs. The Weigh Safe item # WS94RR is for 1,250 lbs tongue weights so it's going to be quite a bit over capacity. It has the same bracket spacing requirements and dimensions.
