Happy to help Kevin,
The 16" dimension for the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # FA88FR is the overall length of the shank, measured end to end. The height of the shank is 9-1/2".
The distance from the hitch pin hole to the the first adjustment hole on the Equal-i-zer shank is 12" center to center. The adjustment holes themselves are spaced 1-1/4" apart, center to center. The holes are 3/4" in diameter.
What rig are you setting this up for?
