Question:
I must shorten the leg length of two garnishes by about 3/4inch but before I start cutting, I would like to be sure I am using the best technique and tool before I ruin a new garnish. Please give me your expert advice.

I would measure the 3/4 of an inch and mark it with masking taping all around it to use a reference point for where you will make the cut. For the actual cut I would recommend you use a fine tooth saw. Some people use soldering irons to make the cut as well.
