How to you attach a SoftStartRV inside an Advent ACM150 It is all foam inside with no metal surface to attach to?

Hey Paul, we actually shot an install video for the Softstart RV part # SSR54FR on an Advent Air RV AC unit like you have which I attached to this page. You might have to scroll down to bottom of the page to see it. We installed it by locating in the bottom of the unit like you can see in the attached picture as well.

Ours was replaced before. The ductwork is made into ceiling/roof of camper. Old one attached into roof either lag screws. In my opinion over the years the roof has sagged and a heavy rain could run in over foam seal. I ran j bolts up into ac they screw holes and tightened to compress roof, foam seal and ac tightly together. Problem solved.
