Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out. We do have a 4-flat wiring harness you can use on your 2024 Ford Ranger. Here is what I recommend:

- Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236

Curt doesn't offer a custom plug-in kit for a Ranger, but this universal kit will do just fine. It comes with quick splice connectors you can use to tie into the trucks taillight and brake light signals. Then you can use the Curt Mounting Bracket # C42CR to mount the plug on the crosstube of the # C82ZV (13607) hitch. You'll just need to grab a few self-tapping screws. That'll be a clean, secure setup.

Everything Jesse said is exactly correct. The "generic" Curt powered tail light converter works great (I installed it in Apr of 2024). The huge key for me is that etrailer had a detailed installation video for my Volvo XC60 SUV. That was critical as it showed me exactly how to access the signal wires, and exactly what color wire was the turn signal, brake and lights wires. Without that it would have really been a problem trying to determine which was the correct wire. Hopefully they have a video for your vehicle. The only other issue I experienced was that the kit came with blue wire splice connectors. Those work for wire gauge 18 - 14. My Volvo has 22 gauge wire and I had to get some red connectors (22-18) before I got a successful electrical splice. Everything working great 2 years later, and etrailer has always been great with prompt helpful answers to any questions. Bob

@RobertW Thanks for the review, Robert. Glad to hear the converter has been working well for you. That's a great tip on the wire connectors too, newer vehicles often use smaller gauge wiring than expected, so having the right connectors on hand can save a lot of frustration during the install.
