Do You Have a 8 1/2' LP Hose with 1/2" Female Swivel on Each End?

Updated 06/17/2026 | Published 06/10/2026

Question:

I need to replace one of the hoses on my trailers lp supply to the house. It is a 3/8” hose about 8.5 ft long with female swivels on each end. The connectors measure 7/8” between the outside edges. It measures 3/4 “ between inside edges, but another dealer says it is 1/2”. I can send a pic.

Hello Bentley,

I took a stroll out to the warehouse to measure the outside of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose - 3/8" Female Flare Swivel x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel - 10' # MBS84FR connector, it is 3/4" outside to outside.

I know that the outside of the 1/2" measures 7/8". Can you please respond directly to the email you receiver showing the 2 females swivels? I am not seeing one on the site and would like to reach out to our manufacturers to find one.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I just bought this hose that runs from my rv propane regulator into the main supply line. They are standard on all rv. No different sizes because the propane standards are set for safety industry wide. My rv is 35 years old and it's still the same. I do not use Teflon tape. I use a gas rated pipe dope you brush on. Got it local at tractor supply. Test for leaks with soapy dawn water. If you get bubbles start over because it's leaking. The bubbles get bigger if it is leaking.

@Will Thanks for the response Will. Propane fittings were really put into perspective after I got to go on a tour at MB Sturgis =)

@BentleyA I got the part number I needed to add it to our site. I am surprised we did not have it already, sounds like a pretty common hose on the RV gas. I will let you know as soon as my content team gets it added.

I had to purchase a new propane switch because the old one leaked. So i had to buy another hose from E-trailer because The original hose wouldn’t come out of the switch. It’s worked great ever since. If you have a black cover for your propane tanks it should be replaced with a white cover according to a propane professional we met during our travels.

@SteveG Thanks for the response Steve. I do see we have a black cover on our site, I am going to have to do some investigating =) Thanks for the information.
