Video Transcript for Review of MEC Propane Fittings - Propane Hose 36 Inch - MEC66UR

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this MEC propane hose. Now this is a three foot long flexible connection for two propane components that have different fitting types. On the one end, you're going to have a half inch female flare swivel, and then on the other end, you're gonna have a three eighths of an inch male NPT fitting. So if one propane component has a half inch male flare and the other has a three eighths of an inch female NPT port, this hose is going to let you connect the two without having to use rigid plumbing. This 36 inch long or length rather is gonna give you some freedom to position those components apart from each other.

And this is made for high pressure propane service. The thermoplastic hose has a three eighths of an inch inside diameter, and this is rated for a working pressure of up to 350 PSIG. It also has a 400 pound pull test rating, also fully crimped brass barrels. And this is UL and CGA approved. And we have of course this swivel fitting on the female end that's going to allow the fitting to turn while making the connection rather than requiring you to rotate or twist the entire hose.
