Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the MEC 24 inch Propane Hose. So folks, if you're putting together or repairing a propane system, sometimes the two components you need to connect, as you know, they don't always use the same style or the same exact fitting. Well, this hose, 24 inches long, gives you a flexible way to join a 1/2 inch male flare connection to a 3/8 inch female MPT port. So, that being said, on the one end here, you have a 1/2 inch female flare swivel that would join to your 1/2 inch male flare connection, and then you also have the 3/8 inch male MPT which would go into a 3 inch female MPT port.

So those two together would make the connections you need as long as those are the sizes that you are using and have. Now, that being said, whenever you have a flare fitting, you do not need to use pipe dope or pipe tape, but I do always recommend that you use propane gas detection fluid. We sell that separately here, item number MEC78TR, and always test your connections, make sure you have no leaks, make sure everything is nice and safe. Now, as I said, 24 inches long gives you a nice flexible length here. So if you need to get around some stuff or move it around, you have that flexibility.

Now their hoses, unlike most hoses out there, is a thermoplastic. It uses fully crimped brass ferrules on both ends. It is rated for up to 350 PSI working pressure. Folks, that's going to wrap up our look together at this MEC Propane Hose. I'm Steven.
