Question:
I just bought a 2022 Palomino HS 8801 slide in camper. The person I bought it from had a 2017 Chevy 2500 with 6.5 bed. He gave me the Tork brackets from his truck but I dont beleive they will fit my 2026 Chevy 2500 with 6.5 bed. His truck and mine have the cab length running boards. I just need the front and rear brackets that go on my 2026 truck. I have the turnbuckles. Could you contact ne with what I need to get this camper safely strapoed down.

Hi Chris,
Congrats on the new camper!
I did a quick check on TorkLift tie downs that fit a 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 with cab length running boards and a 6 1/2' bed and they definitely won't work with your new 2026 Chevy Silverado 2500 with 6 3/4' bed.
Instead, you'll want to use the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear part # TL86NR. This kit has both front and rear tie downs made of 1/4" powder coated steel that will bolt straight to the pre-existing holes in your truck's frame. The arms are removable, so when you're not using your slide in truck bed camper, they'll be almost invisible underneath the truck.
Where's the first place you're planning on camping with your new Palomino?

The TorkLift Tie downs are some of the best in the business. Unless you'er with in one or two years of your last model of the same brand truck; you will need to buy new tie downs for for the truck that you now have. Yes, they are expensive but they bolt right on without modification and are rock solid. I'm on my third set now because of trading trucks over the years. Both TorkLift and eTrailer are excellent to work with.

I own a 24’ Silverado “custom” 2500 6.6L For your installation of the tie downs that mount to your 26’ will have to be bought from Etrailer! They sell the brackets that mount to your trucks frame. Bolt holes line up. Feeding bolts through is easy. I’m 40years young and am mechanically inclined, still the installation was easy and came with a tool to help! (Worked great!). Then to mount to camper itself, the manufacturer of camper has dedicated spots (look) then you’ll use your turn buckles, D-rings, chains, to fill th remaining distance/s to hook to each end (camper and truck tie downs)

I'm 74, they took me about 2 hours to install. The hardest part was fishing bolts/nuts though the frame, but I got it done. They are well built and will last a long time. I wish I had developed them because even with the cost of steel these days, there must be an unbelievable profit margin.
