Big vehicles tend to sway when the weight shifts through turns or sudden maneuvers. This solid 1-1/2" diameter 4140 chromoly steel bar ties the rear axle to the chassis to keep things level and stable. The result is a smoother, more controlled ride with less side-to-side motion when cornering or changing lanes. With the weight balanced across the frame, you can drive with more confidence and less steering correction.
Crosswinds and passing traffic don’t have to make you fight the wheel. By bracing the frame against the movement of the rear axle, the bar cuts down on sway caused by wind and uneven loads. It holds the vehicle steady so you can stay on your line through gusts, rough pavement, or shifting cargo. That means a calmer drive and less fatigue at the end of a long day.
This isn’t a lightweight setup. The 4140 chromoly steel construction gives it high strength and stiffness for serious roll control. Polyurethane bushings replace standard rubber ones to handle oil, gas, and ozone without breaking down. They stay firm longer, keeping the system tight and consistent over time.
Weather and road grime can take a toll, but the silver vein hammer-tone powder coat on the bar and black powder coat on the brackets keep rust at bay. The finish looks clean and stands up to years of use without flaking or fading.
There’s no need to drill into the frame. The bar bolts on with the included zinc-plated mounting hardware and bushing lubricant. It’s designed to avoid interference with most common aftermarket suspension upgrades, so you can add stability without reworking your setup.

WOW that thing is serious! Easy to install and great tech support from Hellwig.
WORKS GREAT RIDES AMAZING
Rear Sway bar by Helwig: Great, HOWEVER the flange is too rounded on the brackets provided and you cannot get a washer to fit when tightening-also cannot get a socket on to tighten, thus you cannot get a torque wrench on. Front Sway bar by Roadmaster: Great. BUT the provided new bushing that fits in the factory bracket is too thick and needs to be trimmed to fit right. BOTH of these issues SHOULD NOT have to be tolerated by a buyer of what is supposed to be an expensive quality product!!! The staff is superb but they asked me for a PRODUCT review and both brands are not impressive on the hardware.
Etrailer had excellent service
Great quality and a fair price
Huge improvement perfect fit the tech videos are the best gave ma a great source of information
Jerry was a pleasure to work with and always retained my calls. Thank you Jerry. The Hellwig bar had made a huge difference in driving. TY.
Looks nice and sturdy. Arrived before estimated delivery which was great. Everything seems to be there. Can't wait to have it installed! Will follow up!
Easy to put.on just needed help holding them they were heavy laying on my back
Easy to install myself.
I put this on the rear of my 25 year old E450 30' RV and it rides SO much better! It was pretty simple to put on, but this bar is very heavy. Doing it myself, I had to use a couple of rachet straps to support the weight while getting the screws in. I very much recommend this upgrade!
Advice from Andy at etrailer was awesome. The sway bar I ordered was delivered in two days as promised. Now I have to install it. Lol
Will definitely order from etrailer again!
Great product , have a helper to hold in place , challenging to do it by yourself
Almost twice the size of my original. It was an easy perfect fit. Used the stock mounting locations as original.

The swaybar is holding up well. The hard finish still looks nee
Very heavy duty which is was what I wanted and I can certainly feel the difference
The difference between the OEM and the Hellwig rear anti-sway bar is unbelievable.
This sway bar eliminated virtually all the sway on my 2025 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 31K.
This sway bar added the stability that I was looking for on my 32’ E450 class C. It is stable in the wind and when semi Trucks pass me. Very good product.
The sway bar was easy to install, even for a 72 year old. I test drove the rig and can honestly say it was an improvement. The real test will be driving in the Ozarks next fall.

That's a beautiful part of the world that your planning on traveling through! I hope you have a great time!!
eTrailer does very well in getting the right part on time. Helwig is always a great product.
MUCH heavier than the "heavy duty" OEM anti-sway bar in my Jayco Redhawk. Easy to install with etrailer youtubes. The most important reason to choose this over Roadmaster is that you don't have to drill holes in the frame.
Makes a noticeable improvement on handling on lean on off and on ramps, cornering, etc. when combined with the front hellwig sway bar. Should be standard equipment on C class motor homes on the E450 chassis.

It was a very worthwhile investment. I dont think a red hawk should be sold on a e450 chassis without the upgraded sway control. Makes a huge difference with trucks passing, on and off ramp lean, and general handling.
Great customer service the sway bar is a game changer in the wind
My rig was equipped with one inch sway bars, front and back. Today was my first trip since I installed the inch and a half bar on the rear. Wind gust were up to 25mph. It made a world of difference in the effort it took to maintain my lane. Still took a little effort. I may go with the one and three eights bar on the front, along with sumo assist springs. That should eliminate all sway.
Do you have a question about this Anti-Sway Bar?

That's great Jeffery! Glad the videos could help you out a little with the install. Have you been able to travel since install to really test it out?
