i have a 2021 ram 2500 and installed a fifth wheel for camper. i need to order the wiring harness, not sure what one to order. i have a hole/cover in the side of the bed and would like to remove the cover and install the plug in there.

Welcome back Rick! To make towing with a 5th wheel easier, I recommend adding the Mighty Cord 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness item # A10-7007. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your Ram 2500 and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. It connects directly to the factory wiring harness and will install in that cutout you were talking about.

Where you able to get the 5th wheel brackets you bought earlier this month installed and do you have a first trip planned yet with your new trailer?

Feel good about ordering, just use the part number they provide. I put one on my 2018 2500 and it worked great (one caveat, the connector on the hitch side had a pin slip so I had to troubleshoot. Once I reset the pin it worked fine...

I have a 2020 Ram 2500 with the 6.5 ft bed and used this Mighty Cord adapter when I had my 5th wheel hitch installed. Easy installation and works great.

I used the Mighty Cord 7' on my 2019 Ram 2500. It fit perfectly and the 7 ft. length was just what I needed. Very easy to install and use.
