Worried about moisture damaging your RV, boat, or storage space? This kit pairs a powerful 2-liter desiccant dehumidifier and a Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor, so you can remove moisture and monitor conditions in real time from your phone.
High humidity can lead to mold, musty odors, and damaged gear. This kit gives you both sides of the solution. The EDV-4000 desiccant dehumidifier actively removes up to 7 liters of moisture per day, while the EDH-10i sensor tracks temperature and humidity in real time. You are not guessing. You can see exactly what is happening inside your space.
Insert 2 AAA batteries, mount the sensor where you need it, and pair it with the Eva-Dry app over Bluetooth. The app logs climate data and sends alerts if humidity or temperature moves outside your preferred range. It is an easy way to catch moisture issues early in an RV, boat, garage, or storage unit.
The EDV-4000 uses rotary desiccant technology, so it continues working in temperatures as low as 34 degrees F. It is well suited for large RVs, basements, cabins, and boats up to 4,000 cubic feet. With no compressor, operation stays quieter and more consistent.
Set your target humidity and fan speed using the simple onboard controls. When the 2-liter tank fills, the unit shuts off automatically to prevent spills. The lightweight tank slides out with a handle for quick emptying, or you can attach a 12mm drain hose, included, for continuous drainage.

Hey, everyone, I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Eva-Dry EDV-4000 Dehumidifier that comes with a thermostat as well as a humidity checker. So this is gonna be a dehumidifier that will work great in your large open spaces like your motorhome of different types and classes, your trailers. Anything that needs some dehumidification, but also a way to monitor that process, this is gonna be the kit for you. Now, we've gotten a bunch of different stories from different people that have used dehumidifiers for their different RVing situations. One example is we have one neighbor who usually lives in a spot that's pretty dry, he never really had to worry about humidity levels.
But once he started RVing and he got his first motorhome, he noticed that the motorhome has a little bit of a funky smell, because of traveling through different humid areas. So with the help of a dehumidifier running in that for a while, that funky smell disappeared, and now, he has a nice clean motorhome for all of his different journeys. And that might be the same situation for you. As you travel around, as you go to different climates and different areas, it's important to take care of your motorhome, preventing mold from building up, having a more comfortable experience, taking all that moisture out of the air, and removing those funky smells from moisture. The way this is powered is we have the standard wall outlet plug, so 110 or 120 outlet, so just plug that right in.
And also, ideal if you have your motorhome going or you're plugged in to shore power. Once it's plugged in, you can then power it on and cycle through your different functions. So you have the relative humidity target level we can go for, so from 50 to 45 to 35% relative humidity. You can adjust the dry mode from low to high. I use the high drying mode when I have swimsuits or wet clothing in front of the dehumidifier that I really want to dry out.
Then you can also adjust the movement of this vent. So up here, we've got this vent that can do wide, which goes up and down, you have just your up, and you also have just your front, which goes straight. And then, finally, you can adjust a timer, so if you want this run for two hours, four hours, or eight hours before it shuts off. This will also shut off on its own once the sink is full, which by the way has a two liter water capacity. I've had this running for about maybe 10 minutes since the last time I emptied it, so that's how much water we've pulled so far.
Another way you can bypass that function is if you have a continuous drain. So they include a hose that you can attach in here, and that way, it will just drain out the hose. Some people have this running to their sink, and then it'll just keep on going until you set it to go off. While Eva-Dry has a bunch of different dehumidifiers for different situations, one of the things that makes the EDV-4000 unique is the ionizer function. This is actually the function that our neighbor utilized to get rid of those funky odors, because what makes your motorhome potentially a little funky is the bacteria that is growing. So with the ionizer, not only does it dehumidify air, but it also kills the bacteria in the air that's going through our dehumidifier. Another unique feature is that this does not use a compressor to dehumidify. And what does that mean Well, when you think about air conditioners and other things that move air, usually, they're really loud, and a lot of that is because of the compressor that's working away. Well, when you turn this on, you can hear the slight sound change, not really loud at all. This uses a continuous rotary desiccant, so that's gonna be on the inside, and that's continuing to draw the moisture out. So instead of a compressor that can get pretty loud as it operates, this will work always as it is on, and this works along a wider range of temperatures too. So a lot of people who winter camp and they have a lot of condensation on the inside of their camper, that's where they get the EDV-4000, because it really helps with that. So does this actually work Well, that's why this includes a sensor, so you can watch it work as you use it. So this is gonna be the Eva-Dry thermostat. And to see how it's working, you do need to download an app. Now, this app is available on the Apple Store or the Play Store, depending on if you have Android or you have an Apple device. Now, with this connected, and it does take some time to get it connected, you can just add the device. And once it is added, you'll then be able to see the temperature as well as the humidity. You'll even see a little note there where it says temperature hot, but the air is comfortable. Now, you can change your different settings here. Now, I've only had this running for about two hours, so not much in terms of trends here, but you're gonna see that there are options for day, month, as well as year when it comes to seeing the trends. You also have the same data available for your humidity to see how your humidity levels have changed as well. So this is helpful if you are staying in a campground for a long period of time or just to see how different campgrounds do. If you noticed that your humidity seems a little bit high, that's when you can start turning on your dehumidifiers to counteract. This is a little heavy, but very manageable, especially with this handle on top of the dehumidifier. I do recommend as you set this up to make sure there is good airflow in the back as well as a lot of space in the front. Now, this will vent out the front and pull in from the back. So if you do have it on, let's say high drying mode, you'll actually want the vent facing the things you want to dry off. Now, in the back, you also have a removable filter. So this is just a filter that you can clean off every now and then as it takes up just maybe the little lint and dust and dirt that might be in the air. Now, as someone who does like to camp, I have some personal notes on this dehumidifier that everyone thinks about when using it. The first is power draw. Now, this dehumidifier, at its high setting, is a constant amp draw of a little over five amps. Where this is important is, let's say you're plugged in with a 30 amp plug or you're plugged in with a 50 amp connection, that actually changes how many different appliances you can have running at the same time. So compared to compressor dehumidifiers that have a jump in amp draw before they just continuously go, since this is just one continuous rotary dehumidifier, you have a constant of five amps. So you can set up maybe three of these dehumidifiers at the same time on a 30 amp connection with no problem. Now, if you turn on your microwave or your hair dryer or your coffee pot, that's gonna change things, but just keep that in mind. The second thing worth considering is that since this is a dehumidifier, a little different from an air conditioner, it is gonna be warm. So if you're using this to take the humidity out of the air, fantastic. This will not cool your air, in fact, this will make your trailer a little bit hotter. So if you're winter camping, no big deal. But if you're using this in the summer to dry off those swimsuits, might get a little toasty. And the final thing I noticed while using this is when you turn this on for the first time in a while that you're not using it, there will be a little bit of a burning smell. Now, that comes from, again, it not using a compressor, but rather, absorbing moisture. But while it absorbs moisture, sometimes it also absorbs smells. So when it first kicks on, it's going to burn through those smells and remove them. Again, another feature of the ionizer with killing the bacteria. So it's not a bad thing, but if it happens to you, don't worry about it. I really like this. For a motorhome like this where you've got a large amount of space, especially if you're going through a really humid area or you're camping in a humid area, this is gonna be a great option for you and your motorhome and your trailer and for other people too. I see a lot of people use this for their crawl space or their basements or their shed. Wherever you need dehumidification, this will do a great job, and you'll be able to see what a good job it's doing with the included sensor. Now, who is this not for If you have a smaller camper, for example, I have a teensy tiny trailer, I'm actually more interested in Eva-Dry's other dehumidifiers that are a little bit smaller. And for those that are storing their trailers during the off season, since you do need to plug this specific dehumidifier in, Eva-Dry has other options available that don't pull any power, and those can be placed inside your trailer to keep things dry inside until you use your trailer again. So it's totally about what kind of trailer do you have, what kind of space will you be using this in, and where are you going. Hopefully, this video was helpful though for you if you are looking for a dehumidifier that not only pulls the moisture out of the air, but also keeps everything fresh and not funky smelling.
