Is Brake-Lite Relay Kit Required for InvisiBrake Installation on 2022 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

Do I need this part if I install the Roadmaster Invisbrake?

Hey Randy! If you're using the Wrangler taillights with something like a diode kit for your wiring/lighting you will need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400. The Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 is also required for the installation of the Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700.

Do you have the rest of your flat tow setup already?

Thanks. Yes we do. We are planning on going from towing our 2014 Acadia to a 2025/2026 Jeep Wrangler. We have the Demco system in the Acadia and a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar. Just getting my ducks in a row, this is something we will do later this year. The Invisbrake seems a bit easier to install than the Demco and have had issues with it working properly (operator error more than manufacturer issue).

@RandyD you're welcome! I do prefer the Demco, but the Roadmaster will also work well in your Wrangler. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out.

@Robyn H I’ll keep that in mind. If I decide to move the Demco, what parts would I need to purchase? Would it fit under the seat like the Invisibrake?

@RandyD assuming it is the Stay-IN-Play Duo you need the Reinstall Kit # SM6270. It will have the main operating unit under the hood and then the other components under the dash just like you have now. I added an installation video on a 2023 Wrangler below if you want to take a look.
