Question:
Does Redarc have a brake controller that works with 2005 chevy avalanche. I need something that plugs into factory wiring under the dash. Thanks

Hi David!
There is indeed a way to get either the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller - Dash Knob - Off-Road Mode - Up to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR or the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR to work with your 2005 Chevy Avalanche. It will kind of be plug and play (ish) as well.
So with that said, both of the aforementioned brake controllers come with universal wiring (blunt cut wires to be hardwired). To make this a plug and play type install, you will need to also grab the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter # C51352. You will cut off the black plug from this pigtail and then connect it to the universal wiring that comes with the brake controller. It can then be plugged into the port in your Avalanche and you are good to go. Well, you also need to mount the knob somewhere as well.
What are you going to be towing once this is installed?

I have a 2005 Silverado 2500HD and just did a Redarc tow-pro elite controller. Made it a direct plug and play by using the CURT C51352 harness from E-trailer + the TPH-019 adapter from Redarc which is a CURT to TowPro adapter. I coordinated with Andrew at Redarc directly on this and it worked perfectly first try. The TPH-010 adapter that came with the TowPro elite was not helpful for my application as it is for GM vehicles 2014 and newer.
