Hey Patrick, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 will work on your 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid. It’s a universal powered converter, so it doesn’t rely on the vehicle being gas or hybrid specific, it just taps into the tail light circuits and uses a direct power lead to protect the vehicle’s wiring.

On the hybrid models, the main thing is routing that power wire cleanly up to the battery, but otherwise the install is straightforward and doesn’t require any cutting into sensitive hybrid systems. It’ll give you a clean 4-way connection for a trailer without putting strain on the factory wiring.

What trailer are you planning on hauling?

Patrick, I installed this on a 2021 BMW X3. Instructions were very accurate and easy to follow. DIdn't take very long and has been working fine for 3 years. Easy to store in my trunk and fast to set up. It was a bit of a pain to get to my reverse lights on my particular car but that's to be expected in my case. I recommend this converter.

@DaveR Nice! Glad to hear the wiring harness is still going strong and that you didn't have too much trouble with the install. Thanks for sharing!

Universal kit and works well, I've installed them on Toyota, Honda, Kia and Nissan's. Basic tools and electrical skills are all that is needed and take your time routing the wires for good long term results.
