Question:
I have a 2017 keystone Avalanche with Coleman Mach air conditioners. The main is a 15k and the bedroom is a 13.5k. I am looking at replacing both units, the main is going out and the bedroom seems to be not too far off. I was looking at the Furrion 18k chill cube with heat pump for the main. I was wondering if I could use a chill cube 18k for the bedroom as well, but I believe it is only a 15amp circuit, would it work? If not what would be a good alternative? Preferably a similar looking unit. Also, is there a thermostat for the chill cube with heat pump that could do ac, heat pump and furnace? Or would it be better to run the new unit off its own controller and the furnace from its own thermostat? Thank you for your time!

Hey Tyler! The Chill Cube # FR97TQ will work great for the main AC replacement. The 15A circuit in the bedroom is cutting it close to the upper limit of what the unit draws. However, because it uses a variable speed compressor and slowly ramps up, it is able to operate within that range without the hard startup spikes like you see in older units.
Regarding the Chill Cube wall thermostat, there is one available. However, it has had a lot of furnace compatibility issues so there is no guarantee it will work with your setup. Since you were already asking about running the furnace off of its own thermostat I would play it safe and go that route.
The Chill Cube can run off of the remote and ADB controls, and the furnace will operate independently. You can use your existing thermostat if it isn't tied to the controller on the Coleman units. Otherwise you can add a simple thermostat like # DMC84RR.
