Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit RM87GR - Will this system work in a 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid? Is there one that is compatible? I am installing a Demco Duo system and concerned with tapping the needed Break Lamp Wire, as it can cause major issues with Fords electrical system.

Hey Roger, yes the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM87GR that you referenced is compatible with your 2022 Ford Maverick. This will basically fit any vehicle and will give it a stoplight circuit that you can then use for supplemental braking like the Demco DUO Stay In Play # DM86VR. Do you have a tow bar and base plate kit picked out already?

We have the 2024 Escape Plug in Hybrid. After I installed the bracket, diodes and brake system looking for the spot to catch the brake switch signal. Could not find it so I called Roadmaster. The guy was great knew exactly what I was talking about and told me the part number etc. Works perfectly. By the way we love the way the Escape tows. Only issue is that it needs 10 minutes to go to sleep before towing!
