Having an installation video to watch of the same hitch and vehicle was so helpful. Better than paying the dealership $700 for a hitch receiver.
The hitch was delivered quickly exactly when it was supposed to. It arrived in good shape and with the help of the video tutorial I was happy to say I was able to install this myself in a little over an hour (most of that time was spent fiddling around with plastic clips on my bumper). The actual installation of the hitch was pretty simple, I just needed one other person to help hold it in place while bolting it on. It fits exactly how it should and looks as good as a receiver hitch can. The matte black powder coat also seems high quality; hopefully it holds up well over time!

Super easy install. Great instructions. Took longer to get tools out and then put away after than it did to install. Since I don’t have a lift I used ramps (and a jack stand for safety). Plenty of room to work. I’ve done 4 hitches now from etrailer and this was by far the easiest. Always a perfect fit!
Etrailer needs to work on packaging the hitch properly to avoid damage to both the equipment and scratching floors. The hitch itself is mostly fine. It’s scuffed but it’s a hitch so I’m not worried about it. The box was pretty beat up and part of the hitch broke through the box, scratching our wood floors as it was brought into the house.
Arrived quickly, just before a road trip. Install was straight forward and not complicated. Happy with the puchase!
Cannot give an opinion since the hardware is missing so we cannot install it. The box was torn open when delivered. The UPS driver said he thought something might be missing. Once you send us the missing hardware we will give a review.

Hey Jacklyn! I am sorry the hitch arrived that way. Just wanted to check and see if you have already checked the hitch receiver for the hardware because a lot of times that is where they pack it to keep it safe in situations like this. If its not there we will definitely get some replacements headed your way!

Just installed this receiver today; haven’t actually used it yet. So far, the service from etrailer has been excellent. Agent was very communicative and the receiver arrived exactly as expected. Installation instructions and the video were clear and accurate. No problems. I’d recommend etrailer to others!
I have not installed yet just received but the quality looks and feels great! I hope it last a really long time. I mitgh post pictures later after the installed with the new cargo carrier that I just got.

We have used this trailer hitch a few times this past year for two e-bikes that together weigh about 200 lb. They were easy to attach and stayed very secure. Highly recommend!

This is my third hitch from etrailer, and I've never been disappointed. The hitch for my Mazda arrived in 3 days and in perfect condition - nothing poking through the box, and with no scrapes or other damage to the hitch. Installation was easy - took about 45 minutes overall with a helper at the end to assist raising the hitch into position. The installation videos are great, and the fish wires for the hardware are ingenious. For my first hitch, I did invest in a pair of muffler hanger pliers, and they have proven to be very helpful since all three of my hitches have required lowering the exhaust - the pliers make quick work of removing the rubber isolators. Backing the rear of the car onto some ramps provided plenty of room to work. We use our hitch solely for hauling our bikes, and our carrier requires a 2" receiver. The Mazda factory hitch is only a Class II (1-1/4") and consists of a bunch of separate pieces that have to be bolted together, not to mention a cutout that has to be made in the bumper for the receiver. The etrailer hitch best met my needs - it's solidly made and very clean looking, almost entirely hidden behind the bumper, with only the receiver showing - even that fits tight against the bottom of the bumper. Hopefully, I'll be keeping this car for a while, but if I ever need another hitch, I'll be back!
