Is there a nondrill bracket/option available for installing a tekonsha prodify RF controller to the trailer frame?

Hello Pujan, Tekonsha does not offer a mounting bracket or alternate mounting method for the Prodigy RF. I'm sure you could get creative and come up with a different way to mount it, but it won't officially be supported by Tekonsha. I recommend installing it on the frame as intended.

It does not come with an alternate mounting option. Since I was trying it out to see how well it worked with my vehicle I originally made a bracket and attached it with cable ties. It worked on a test run, but was not very secure. I then mounted it to the frame so it would not move. I did take care to coat all drill holes with a sealer so they would not rust. If you don't have an installed brake controller I highly recommend this controller.

I purchased a prodigy brake control system for my trailer two years ago and I have been very satisfied. I have an aluminum frame trailer and drilling the holes for installation was easy. The function of the brake controller has been flawless. I think the wireless operation is fabulous as it avoids the need to have a separate controller inside the cab of your vehicle and avoids all the wiring as well. The only downside as far as I’m concerned is that it was somewhat of an expensive option, but it is the best brake controller I’ve ever had and I would certainly buy it again.

The controller that mounts to the trailer is fairly heavy, so I wouldn't advise using an alternate mounting option like double-sided tape. With all the trailer vibration, you're likely to find the damaged controller dragging on the pavement or gone entirely. Also, I advise checking online for alternate setup instructions. I found the included instructions were missing 2 critical steps, the most important being to unplug the trailer from the controller during setup. My initial setup left us with very touchy brakes until I performed the setup again with the missing steps

I love the one I have. It’s simple to use and easy to change from the Class A for camping and my Honda Ridgeline truck for using the trailer around town for errands.

But, back to your original question. I just drilled four holes in my trailer near the hitch. Wish I could add a photo. It’s very easy to install.
