How to Power a MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat Off of a 110v or 120v Power Source

I have a 6x12 enclosed trailer that is wired for electric and will become a permanent concession trailer, so it will have a set location and will be connected 24/7 to an electrical source. Is the Maxxfan Deluxe able to be wired into the trailers breaker box/power source so it will run off the constant power to the trailer? I need a fan that can run off the electrical sourcenot a battery so I can set a thermostat to make sure the trailer never gets hot inside. Everything talks about 12V, but I dont know if this can be wired to a regularinch 110V electrical system. Thank you!

Hey Frank. The only way to run the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent item # MA00-07500K off of 110v or 120v is to use the PowerMax AC to DC Converter item # PM54VR. This is going to provide the MaxxFan item # MA00-07500K will a 12v power source. It can not be powered directly off of your 110v electrical system.
The PowerMax AC to DC Converter item # PM54VR requires a standard 3-prong outlet so you'll need to run one of those off of your concession trailer's breaker box. It's got a 35 amp capacity so you could definitely power other 12v appliances or lights off of it or two of the item # MA00-07500K fans for more air flow.
If you don't want to go this route, the Ventline Roof Vent w/ 120V Fan item # V2128SP-01 is the only option I have that can be ran directly off of a 110v or 120v circuit.

I bought this fan and installed it in my Super C camper over the cab bed. It's powerful and works great for pulling out warn air or pulling in cool air at night. I like the remote control and the power lid. Also, it can be run with the lid open or closed and the design keeps the rainwater out. However, I'm not sure this will work for the application you plan to use it in. If you are cooking food in the trailer, I think you should have a high flow exhaust fan to handle grease and heat. If you will be selling stuff out of your trailer and not cooking and just need to have air moving in or out this would probably work well. It's pretty easy to install. Realize this is designed for a thick camper roof, not a thin trailer roof, so it will hang down and I doubt the inside cover will do any good. Bottom line, it is a great fan, and I would definitely buy and install another one. Depending on what you will be doing in your trailer there may be more effective options than this fan. Either way, if you decide on this fan, you won't be sorry with the performance for moving air in and out.
