Hello everybody, this is Jeff at e trailer dot com, today we're gonna take a look at this Mor Ryde storage reel with the hand crank for fifty foot long power cords. Now basically after driving in your RV and getting to your campsite, the last thing you wanna do is have to drag out that heavy power cord to hook up to your sure power connection, so this storage reel is designed to help relieve that strain of that situation by allowing you to just pull out the power cord from the reel, and then hook it up to your power outlet. The storage reel will conveniently keep an RV power cord up and out of the way, now the power cord is not included, that we do sell separately. It is designed to hold a cord that is up to fifty foot in length, and it's designed for use with either the thirty amp or the fifty amp detachable cords. The reel center receiver right in here is what'll hold the head of the cord in place to avoid tangling, and this handle can be mounted on either side, left side or right side, depending on your installation. It does include a resistance brake on the handle, it's this knob right here, let me just zoom in so you can see the knob.
That knob basically, when you loosen that, it'll allow the reel to freely rotate without resistance. And then when you're done and you reel your cord in, once the cord is fully stored, you tighten this knob, and it'll tighten the resistance brake, and that'll keep the cord from unwinding during travel. It is a very easy installation. It includes the mounting hardware, does have a couple holes up here, and a couple holes back here. It'll screw securely into wood surfaces, and it stays put as you reel the cord in.
Now this is a nice, rugged steel construction, has a nice flat powder coat finish to it, it is made in the U.S.A. A few specs on this, the weight of the unit is about twenty-five pounds, Wanna give you some measurements. And the length we're gonna measure including the mounting tabs that stick out. So if we put a ruler on that at the very bottom where the mounting tabs are, it's gonna be right at twenty-one and a half inches, or twenty-one inches long. The width of it, same way, we're gonna measure including this handle, you can see this knob to the other side.
So if we do that you're gonna be right at ten and a half inches wide, and then the overall height of the whole unit is gonna be right at seventeen and five eighths inches tall. But again, you can see with the handle, it lets you freely rotate it. And then once you get it stored back in here, you just tighten this down, and it'll keep it from winding. But that should do it for the review on this Mor Ryde storage reel with the hand crank for fifty foot long power cords..
All I can say is WOW! This cord reel is awesome! It makes the 50 amp cord so easy to stow away. Easy installation also. I am so glad I purchased this item!

This product is awesome. I have struggled with the 50A cords for years, grumbling about their weight. Coiling them up and putting them away, especially when wet or muddy has been frustrating. Now I can simply put one end in the reel and easily reel it in. This gives me the opportunity to wipe the cord off as I crank it in. It works easily. I wish I had purchased one years ago.
Product is very well made. Rolling the power cord into the reel is very smooth and easy. A very nice upgrade.

After 1 year of use the MORryde Spooler is still working great. No issues. Still looks and operates like brand new. I can highly recommend this product.
Works great. Install was easy. Didn't really fit two 25' cords so we're using it for one.

I absolutely love the MORryde manual reel. I mounted it to my MORryde cargo tray in our Brinkley Fifth wheel. It makes it so much more convenient to store my 50amp cord.

Works as it should and the handle adjustment was great. You can turn the knob that is lower on the handle to adjust the speed to pull the wire out and once you have it all back in it will lock the reel in place so the reel will not spin. When I received it some parts of the handle were missing, one call to MORryde and they sent me what I needed no charge and free shipping, great company!!

Great product. Easy install.
Though a bit pricy for what it does (roll up a power cord), it does it well.
Works great as advertised
Harder to crank than I thought it would be and I had to mount it farther into the storage bay than I wanted just because of the design of my storage bay. Still, it's better than hand rolling the cord and it's a good storage solution. Next time I'd get the automatic one.
