Do You Have Just a Generic Hitch Pin and Clip that will Work With My Thule 934XTR Bike Rack?

Updated 04/20/2026 | Published 04/14/2026

Question:

Do you have a hitch pin and clip for a Thule 934XTR bike rack with a 2”×2” hitch? I don’t need the Thule Snug-Tite lock THSTL2—just a basic replacement.

Hello Jay,

Thanks for writing in.

You’re correct that this rack doesn’t use a standard hitch pin and clip. Thule uses a threaded hitch bolt to secure the rack and help reduce movement in the receiver.

If you already have the Snug Tite housing, then the Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin # TH62RE is the correct replacement.

If you don’t have the housing, then your best option is the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2, which includes both the threaded pin and the lock housing.

There isn’t really a clean way to convert this rack to a standard pin and clip. While you could try to piece something together with the # TH62RE, a generic pin like # 37201131 and some hardware (washer and lock washer from your local hardware store), it might not secure the rack properly and can lead to movement in the hitch.

Did you lose the hitch pin, or did you buy this rack off of someone?

What kind of bike do you have? Do you have a specific trail you like to ride? I just picked up a new to me bike this last weekend, waiting for my tubes to come in as I type so I can get it in good working order! I am excited to hit the Katy Trail here in Missouri.
