Updated 04/21/2026 | Published 04/14/2026

Question:

Hi, ET. I just want to make sure that I only purchase once. I have a 2013 Chevy 1500, 6.6 ft bed with the current hitch Rotted out is bolted to the bumper as well as the frame. Would theC13061 be the optimal hitch and would the 13322, or the 13301 be good options? Thank you.

Hey Kerry, thanks for reaching out. The Curt # 13301 is definitely what I recommend here. All of the hitches you mentioned, the Curt # C13061, # 13322 and # 13301 all fit the 2013 Silverado, but the # C13061 is only for the 2500 and 2500 models, so that leaves us with the other two.

Between those two, the Curt # 13301 is the better option. It has the same weight rating, (6,000 lb towing, 600 TW) as the other hitch. The big advantage is it will have a cleaner look once installed because the cross tube will be concealed behind the bumper. This helps protect the hitch and also looks better on the back of the truck.

It will bolt right on using the included hardware. It uses bolts, spacer plates and nuts so you'll be able to torque everything down even if the frame holes are a bit rusty. No factory weld nuts to deal with.

What do you usually tow? A boat or a camper?

Thank you Jesse. I'll be towing a small camper "17ft" and who knows what else.

@Kerry Nice! Glad to help! You'll be well equipped for a camper of that size. I see you picked up our anti-rattle collar too. Good call :) You know where to find me if you ever need anything else!
