Question:
The instructions specify installing a 2inch spacer HP10152 if the axle strike plate to frame is greater than 7.5. However it doesnt specify if this distance is measured with weight on the axle or not. The distance is 7.25inch with axle loaded and 11.5inch unloaded. The instructions also say to install the air spring with weight off the axle and truck supported on frame. In this state there is two inches between air assembly and frame. Should I buy and install install the optional 2inch spacer? Or will the air spring stretch to fit without tearing? Installing on GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation, standard suspension not lifted X31, AT4, or Trail Boss. Pics attached.

Hey Jon, this is a great question but the 7.5 inch measurement mentioned in the instructions would be the distance measured with the weight of the truck on the suspension and not suspended in the air like you mentioned. So in your case you would want the spacer you mentioned which is our part # PB73VV. Your pictures did not happen to make it through though. Are you doing some towing with your truck?
