Question:
I have a 2026 Ford F350 with a 2 1/2 foot receiver. My setup is going to be an AirSafe Class VII Hitch. Could you give me a recommendation for a hitch pin, both locking and standard clip. Would you also tell me what the max weight is for the eTrailer Hitch Pin part e45TR. Thank you.

Hey Chris! The etrailer Trailer Hitch Pin and Clip # e45TR doesn't have an actual rating. This is designed to work with accessories up to Class V and in general it can handle whatever your hitch can. That being said, it looks like the AirSafe Class VII Hitch goes up to 25,000 lbs.
This is getting into the range where I would say knowing the capacity matters. None of the standard hitch pins are going to have a rating, or if they do it isn't high enough, so I recommend the InfiniteRule Hitch Lock for 2-1/2" Hitches # 34061072-D. This has a stainless steel construction and a 42,000-lb shear strength. It is well above what you need so you can be confident that the hitch pin won't be the weak link.
What will you be towing with that setup?

The only hitch pin i have not seen fail in some way is the bolt threaded locking type such as the iNfiniteRule made like that. The only pins i feel almost completely confident in is that type of pin or a grade 8 bolt with a nut designed to lock on the threads.
