Hey Tony, that’s a really good question, and you’re right to double check this before ordering since getting the wrong pin box can turn into a big headache.

No, The Curt Helux gooseneck adapter, part # C22UB, will not replace your pin box because it only fits fifth wheels with the Lippert Rhino bolt pattern. Most 2022 Grand Design Reflection 150 Series trailers typically come with a Lippert 1621 pin box instead of the Rhino, and if that’s what you have, this Helux won’t bolt up.

Because of that, this really comes down to confirming exactly which pin box is on your trailer now. The easiest way is to check the sticker on the pin box itself or send me a quick picture, and I can verify it for you so there’s no guesswork.

If yours does have the 1621 pattern, a better option is the Gen-Y torsion flex pin box, part # GY38FR. It’s designed for that bolt pattern and does a great job smoothing out the ride by absorbing both the up and down movement and the front to back chucking, all without needing much maintenance. It’s a really solid choice if you’re looking for a quieter, more controlled towing experience.
