I have a 2022 Cougar 24rds will this work on it? Thanks

It will, so long as your 2022 Cougar 24rds came with the factory Rhino Box Michael. The Curt Helux item # C22UB is designed exclusively for the Rhino Pin Box bracket and bolt pattern. It looks like there were two options for pin boxes on your Keystone Cougar so I can't confirm. However, if I can get some additional information from you I'll be able to.

First thing you can do is just look at your pin box. If it says Rhino on it anywhere then you're good the item # C22UB fits.

If it doesn't say Rhino or says Road Armor, I'll need the information on the sticker that's attached to the bracket above your current pin box. The sticker should say date of manufacture, weight capacity, and have some form of RPO, LCI, or serial number on it.

If you could email me a picture of it or carefully put all that information where it says Add comment, I can find the right gooseneck pin box for you.

@MichaelS Thanks for that information! I just spoke with Lippert, they're closed on the weekends, and your 2022 Cougar 24rds has a 1621 pin box bolt pattern. That means the Curt Helux like item # C22UB is not going to work for you. They only make the Helux's to fit a Rhino Box bolt pattern. Instead, I recommend the B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW73RV. This is the most comparable option to the Helux that will fit a 1621 bolt pattern. Instead of a coil spring it has a SumoSprings suspension system that works great for softening bumps and absorbing vibrations.

My 5th is a 2025 Cougar 23mle with a Road Armor pin box, I'm towing with a Ram 3500 dually. The stiff suspension bounces the light 5th wheel a lot, so I was wondering if the Helux would soften the stress to the rig.

@SteveS It definitely would've helped with that but there's not a Helux that will fit. We've got other comparable options that'll help. If you could get me the information on that sticker, I'd be happy to make a recommendation like I did for Michael.
