Question:
Is there a compatible part for the dexter clip in tekonsha or redline? I have seen some that look like a wishone with little square teeth hangning down. These are recommended for 10 inch brakes. if I were to use these would they just push into the arm and the teeth grab at the holes in the arm? The part facing outwards would then be the bottom part of the wishbone? Also I read that the clips are a factory thing and you really do not need them?

The Dexter 7 inch electric brake assembly uses a magnet retaining clip that's different from the # BP19005 you described, which is only compatible with magnets for a 10, 12 and 12-1/4 inch brake assembly. The magnet retaining clips are indeed necessary for holding the magnet in proper position.
Unfortunately, the magnet retaining clips for the round magnet are not offered as a separate unit, but only as part of the # BP01-068 replacement magnet kit. I was surprised they weren't available as a replacement part.
