Tesla Model 3 Hitch Ground Clearance Inside Top of Receiver Measurement

Question:
What is the clearance to from the ground to the inside top of the receiver? Is it 9.5inch like the curt or etrailer or 10inch like the stealth hitch? Is the tongue rating 300lbs and Towing rating 3500lbs? E-trailer site says so. The reason i ask is that this site gave me some uncertainty. Scroll down to Tesla where it shows 200lbs/2000lbs. Can you please confirm with Oris its 300/3500lbs and not 200/2000lbs? Thank you

Hi Jason, I completely understand why you’re asking because the ground clearance on a Model 3 is already pretty minimal, so even a small difference in receiver height can matter when you’re pulling into a steep driveway or going over a ramp. For the Oris hitch part # RS49VR, it is designed as a stealth style hitch that mounts up higher behind the fascia to help preserve as much factory ground clearance as possible. The only time you will lose an estimated 3" of ground clearance is when the removable receiver portion is inserted for use. But when the receiver is out, nothing hangs below the bumper. That is part of what makes it appealing for sensor friendliness and keeping the rear end clean when you are not carrying anything.
I really appreciate you double checking the weight rating. I’ve confirmed that for the Oris hitch part # RS49VR, the correct ratings for the Tesla Model 3 are 200 pounds of tongue weight and 2000 pounds of towing capacity. The 300 pound and 3500 pound figures listed on our site are not accurate for the Tesla fitment, and I’m getting that corrected so it reflects the proper 200 and 2000 pound limits.

I was hoping I could get this as opposed to the stealth hitch. Good thing I checked, please update your tow rating because this is very misleading and could be very dangerous as the travel trailer I would like to pull will be at least 2,600 lbs dry.
