Im wondering if you would know if I need to buy a trauler wiring harness for my 2013 dodge durango when I purchase my reciever Hitch.

Hey Scott! Hitches like the Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver # BLU53UR do not come with trailer wiring. Since you're adding a hitch I'm assuming you don't have the factory tow package. You can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56333 to add a 4-way. If you need a 7-way you can upgrade the Curt 4-way using the # ETBC7.

I have a 16 ft dual axel car trailer. With the seven way plug on it. Is there any way of telling if I have the tow package on my vehicle?

@ScottB well, typically if you have the tow package it comes with a hitch. However, sometimes the wiring is still there. You would have a plug somewhere behind the rear bumper. It may also require a trip to the dealer to activate those circuits if you have it.
