Troubleshooting MORryde Stepabove that Screen Door Hits Bracket Of

Updated 02/25/2026 | Published 02/23/2026

Question:

Hi, I bought a morryde steps system for my 5th wheel rv. They fit the opening just right and the length to the ground is correct, but the bottom of the screen door hits just a bit so it wont close and the main door hits by at least a 1/8 to 1/4. Is there any adjustment on the door or will i need to modify the bottoms of the screen door and main door to make it work? Thanks Matt

Hey Matt, typically this situation is fixed by adjusting the step brackets (using a 7/16 wrench) to move them further inward, ensuring clearance from the door jam. Other solutions include shortening the step legs to lower the assembly, removing the screen door sweep, or filing down the threshold if the steps sit too high. Try those and let me know if it helps.
