Hey Brett, the drop of the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C87CR that you referenced would be measured to the top of the hitch opening. The drop of this hitch is 18 inches. How much drop do you need?

Is it to the top of the truck frame rail or the bottom of the truck frame rail. I have 10 inches from the top of the truck frame to the bottom of the bumper. 6 inches from the bottom of the truck frame rail to the bottom of the bumper. There is another curt kit that says it has 9 inches of drop. Looking at the side mount brackets in the photo, it just does not look like it drops 9 inches.

@Brett The drop is measured from the top of the hitch side bracket down to the top of the hitch opening. So based on how that is installed that doesn't mean 18 inches from bottom of the truck frame but it does depend on how high up on the truck frame the hitch would install.
