Question:

have 2018 coachmen apex ultralight. 31 inch axle space.looking for better suspension upgrade but most equalizers not fit. help.

Hey Eric. Axle spacing isn't the best way to determine what replacement equalizers you need. The most accurate way to find a replacement is to match up a replacing equalizer as close as possible to the dimensions of the one currently on your Coachmen Apex.

There's two ways to do this. You can look for a part number on one of your equalizers. If you can't find one, you'll just need to take a couple quick measurements.

If you look at the diagram below of the Road Armor Equalizers item # LC53CK you were looking at. You'll see a 6" measurement that goes from the center of the left mounting holes to the center of the right mounting bolt holes. You'll also see a 3-1/4" measurement that goes from the top mounting hole to the center line of the left and right mounting bolts.

If you could get those measurements off of one of your equalizers and put it below where it says Add Comment, I'll be able to track down a set of replacement equalizers that will fit your 2018 Coachmen Apex.

My concern is, I was also in touch with Lippard and they said it would not fit because of my measurements off the chart they gave me

@JerredH OK,measurment are as follows Road armor width of 6 inches, mine is 5 3/4" Road Armor measurment of 4 3/8, mine is 3.5" Road armor measument of 3 1/4, mine is 2 "

@Eric Hey Eric, thanks for the information. I saw the emails you sent in over the weekend saying you had 2-1/4" shackle straps. The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit item # K71-652-00 is going to be the best option to replace both your equalizers and your suspension bolts and shackles. The equalizers included with the item # K71-652-00 measure 5-3/4" wide and 2" tall.
