  • Can Curt Ball Mount with Mounted Hitch Ball be Used in Rise Position
Hey Fred, yes you could remove the ball of the Curt ball mount part # C43JR, flip the ball mount over, and then reinstall the ball to use it as a rise ball mount instead. For basically the exact same thing but for a 2 inch hitch you would want the Curt ball mount part # C45332.

  • Can Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount # C45332 be Ordered in Rise Position
The only wat we get the Curt ball mount # C45332 is with the ball in the drop position. We do not mount the ball in-house. You can pretty easily remove the ball once you get it and install it in the rise position.

  • Options for a 2 Inch Ball Mount that Comes with a 2-5/16 Inch Ball
The ball mounts that have a ball welded on are all either 2 inch or 1-7/8 inch diameter balls. We have some ball mounts that come with a 2-5/16 inch ball bolted on: # C45331 # C45332 # C45041 # C45042

  • Will Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Fit 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
I have a replacement option for you, but Reese Trailer Hitch Receiver from a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 will not fit on a 2004 Chevrolet 2500HD due to the differences in the rear frame. Instead I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV # 14211 which is confirmed to fit a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with either the 6-1/2' bed or 8' bed, and also has a maximum tongue weight rating of 1000lbs and a maximum trailer weight rating of 10000lbs. Using a weight distribution...

  • Complete Wiring And Hitch For A 2020 Cadillac XT4
I went ahead and checked out the: -Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76266, and was able to find a hitch height of 18". Additionally, if you need help finding the correct rise/drop for your application, I'd be happy to assist. All you're going to need to do is measure the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver, then from the ground the bottom of the trailer coupler, and subtract the two measurements. The difference is the rise/drop you need. For instance, if...

  • Is the 2-5/16 Hitch Ball Already Torqued on the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount
Yes, the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount # C45332 comes from Curt with the 2-5/16" hitch ball already torqued to specs. As the customer stated in their review, it must have slipped through their quality control. When we receive them and ship them out they remain in a plastic bag (which we do put in a box) so if it were loose we wouldn't know.

  • How To Determine The Correct Ball Mount For Towing 8000lb Dump Trailer With Ram 1500
I would be happy to recommend a ball mount for your Ram 1500 4WD with air bags installed, but the correct ball mount is really going to come down to how much of a rise/drop you need to tow your trailer level. To determine the rise/drop you need you will need to measure your trailer hitch height and trailer coupler height following the included help article. Once you know the rise/drop you need you can make sure you get a ball mount that will work perfectly for your setup. For example...

  • 4 Inch Drop Ball Mount Recommendation for Ford F-150
Thanks for the dimensions you listed! You are going to need a ball mount with a drop of right at 4 inches. To accommodate for suspension sag you might go with a little bit less of a drop but 4 inches really would work well still. The Curt ball mount part # C45332 has a 4 inch drop and has a 15k capacity, plus comes with a hitch ball so it would be a great choice.

  • Availability of 2-5/8 Inch Hitch Ball
I believe what you are needing for your older military trailer is a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like the Draw-Tite # 63840. Based on my research it looks like some people refer to this size as a 2-5/8 inch unit, but there is no such thing as an actual 2-5/8 inch hitch ball. Now that you know what diameter ball you need, you will just want to make sure that it's shank is the correct size for the hole on your ball mount (if you have one already). The Draw-Tite hitch ball mentioned above features...

  • Recommendations for a Ball Mount with 4 Inch Drop with a 2 Inch Ball Already Installed
We can't swap out balls that are in a kit but we do have an option for a 2 inch ball mount with a 4 inch drop that comes with a 2 inch ball. It is # C45056 for a Curt rated for 7,500 pounds. Or you could get the ball mount by itself, # C45341, and add a 2 inch ball # A-90.

  • High Capacity Ball Mount Recommendation with 4 inches of Drop
We have the Draw-Tite Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # 40331 which is similar in that it has a 4 inch drop, has a 16k capacity but is 9-1/4 inches long which makes it about an inch longer. For hitch ball you'd then want the Curt part # C40085 and you'd be set.
