Does Plowswer Snow Plow For 2" Hitches Work On Gravel Driveway?

Question:

I have a gravel driveway - is the Plowser going to dig it up?

Hey Dennis! Luckily, gravel is not an issue at all for the Plowser # PL53YR. The blade uses a low-friction UHMW plastic cutting edge instead of steel, and it’s spring-loaded so it can flex over bumps and uneven spots. At just over 60 lbs, it’s also light enough that it won’t dig down into the gravel like heavier plows can.

Do you have a long gravel drive or just a short gravel stretch near the road? Also, what vehicle are you planning to use? Just make sure you have a 2" hitch in the front or rear, and you're good to go!

It’s about a 300-foot gravel driveway, mostly flat. I’d be using it on the back of a mid-size SUV, probably moving slow. Just didn’t want to make a mess of the stone.

@Dennis Nice. On a flat gravel drive like that, moving slow is exactly what you want, and the plastic edge will glide over the surface instead of digging in. You might kick a few rocks around, but it won’t trench the driveway like a steel blade would.
