SnowBear Plow Length

The SnowBear snowplow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for fast, simple mounting. Easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled electric winch. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain.

Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation

This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. A plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets ties you down to just 1 vehicle. But this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.

SnowBear Hitch Mount

To install the snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver (sold separately). Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.

SnowBear Caster Wheel

The snowplow comes with flip-down caster wheels that make the installation process even easier on you. Simply flip the wheels into position and you will be able to roll the plow into position for mounting or storage. The height of the wheels can also be adjusted to match the height of your vehicle.

How to Plow

SnowBear Adjustable Plow Position

Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, to the left, or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or a private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.

SnowBear Wireless Remote 2.4Ghz

The plow comes with a wireless remote that allows you to stay warm and out of the elements while still effectively controlling the plow. The remote operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency, allowing it to quickly send signals to the winch without experiencing delays. And because it's wireless, you won't have to run wires through your dash. Nor will you have to leave your window cracked open in the middle of a snow storm just so that you can run a wired remote into your cab. You will be glad to have it on those cold winter days.

To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the snowplow.

When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.

Easy Lifting with Electric Winch

SnowBear Electric Winch

The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using the wireless remote control. If you prefer, you can also install the included in-cab toggle switch to control the plow. The winch uses a durable strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.

SnowBear Features

SnowBear Skid Shoes

The snowplow features skid shoes that allow you to adjust the height of your plow. This allows you to efficiently plow over surfaces that are uneven, such as gravel roads.

SnowBear Blade Stiffener

Blade stiffeners, or blade support brackets, reinforce the connection between the plow and your vehicle. They add 2 additional points of contact with your hitch on either side of the plow's T-frame. This prevents stress on the frame and on your vehicle, while also strengthening the performance of the plow.

SnowBear Trip Springs

Shock-absorbing springs allow the plow to dip forward in the event that you hit an obstruction. This flexibility protects you and your vehicle from impacts.

Not to hard to install

Shipped in a short amount of time, call company and received help and a phone call back as promised, great job.

by:

Works well for the price.

by:

etrailer has been a great!!! They have been updating me on all the shipments.

by:

It's a great plow.works good the winch is a little slow and the remote is slow to respond but all in all it does what I need it to do.

by:

I love this plow. It works great for our long driveway. This was easy to assemble and easy to take on and off our Honda Ridgeline.

by:

Haven't had to use it yet but arrived when expected and easy to assemble and looks very easy to use. Would definitely recommend buying from etrailer.com

by:

By the time I receive it, (if it comes) it will be over a month after the order was placed.

by:

The plow works ok. It's easy enough to get on and off the vehicle. Fatal flaw is the winch strap. I have replaced 3 times in one winter of plowing. If you purchase this product be sure to order extra winch straps!

by:

Plow seems to be of good quality, wont know till I actually use it, how good it is. Seems sturdy enough to do the job, assembly was very straight forward.
My only complaint is etrailer left me dangling for a month with no updates on my order status, even after chatting with one of their customer service people.
I ended up contacting DK2 to get a ship date.

by:

It would have been nice if the gentleman who sold me my snow plow would have told me that I needed a drop down hitch instead of a straight hitch, which makes a big difference when trying to plow.

by:

I bought a Snow bear personal plow and a separate Curt receiver hitch for the front of my 2012 F250.. after speaking with Erica W. several times due to blunders on my part, all was perfect. Quick delivery, price was right, items are super rugged. The stock photos don't do justice. My plow came in at 350 pounds without the receiver hitch. It's not a cheap toy plow. Get one, they'll fit nearly anything! Thanks Erica!!

by:

Decent plow for the price.

I installed
this DK2 Avalanche on a 2003 GMC Yukon 1500 with a Curt front receiver hitch 31302. If you have a side mount battery, you may need battery bolt extenders (Battery Doctor #30400) to make life easier. That said, the ring terminal connectors on the winch control box will be too small. Get ones that will fit the 3/8 inch stud and 12-10 AWG wire to replace the stock ones.

Manufacturer instructions are not very helpful, but Graz's Garage has a great install video on YouTube. He installed his on a 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. You can always count on a gearhead from Detroit. eTrailer is awesome at responding to concerns, too, and I'm glad I bought this product from them.

by:

This little plow has been perfect for a Jeep Wrangler. I used it all winter and it kept the driveway clear, no complaints.

by:

Better than a snowblower!! Made very well, had it put together and mounted in a couple hours. Used it for two small snowfalls and it worked as expected. Great customer service from etrailer!

by:

My plow was delivered quickly. It took a bit longer to assemble than I thought it would, but it seems pretty heavy duty and looks and works great for my 600' long driveway. It's much better and quicker than plowing with my 4 wheeler and warmer too.

by:

Greetings from Arrowbear in the San Bernardino mountains.  The plow has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and reliability.  Would definitely recommend it to a friend. Attached is a vid from last year...snow is on the way!

by:

I purchased a SnowBear Proshovel Snowplow and a 2" Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The front mount hitch receiver was a breeze to mount to my vehicle. Literally 15 minutes from start to finish. When the SnowBear plow arrived I was a little apprehensive, as it came in 3 separate boxes and some assembly was required. The directions included were phenomenal, easy to understand and took you through complete assembly step by step. This has been a wonderful experience and I could not be happier.

Nice snow plow I will definitely order from this company again

Great easy plow to use. The hardware that came in was missing a couple nuts and bolts. Had to run to the hardware store a couple times to get the proper bolts and nuts. The plow doesn't come assembled. So expect a good evening to build this unit. First two years was great and the scraping was good. Back dragging slacks but again a lot of plows do that. So it's not terrible but does enough. Just leaves 1/4 of snow behind. But pushing snow forward works and scrapes nice on asphalt or concrete. The battery that came with the kit for the wireless controller didn't last 1 month. So be prepared to upgrade that. But it's been now on my 3rd year, one of the springs failed on it and currently searching for the replacement. The plow itself has a one year warranty so of course it's past due now. Overall it works and it's nice. Wish I had bought the power left and right but the manual lever works too. Also the side markers prematurely failed too so I had to buy meyer yellow ones from fleet farm. Cost another $xx. But I will update this as time goes.

Plow broke down. Parts were unavailable. So I had to junk it and buy a well known brand plow because parts are available to buy locally or online.

  • Will the Fisher MM2 Snowplow Mounting Brackets Work With a Front Mount Hitch Receiver
I do have an option that will allow you to attach a snowplow to the front of your 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 but the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31322 will not work with the Fisher MM2 Mount Kit as they both occupy the same space on the frame rails. For a snowplow that will work well with a 2" front mount trailer hitch receiver and your Chevy Silverado 1500, I recommend using the Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow part # K2AVAL8219. The Detail K2 Avalanche has an 82" wide blade,...

  • Easy to Use Snow Plow Recommendation for 2006 Jeep Liberty
Hey James, the overall simplest solution is the Snowsport plow part # SS98GV which you'd mount in the front hitch part # C31022 that fits your 2006 Jeep Liberty. There's no wiring or winches to deal with so it's simple but it does require getting out and lifting the winch off the mount when you want to use it so it's not the easiest overall. If you wanted something easier to control once installed you'd want the SnowBear Plow part # K2AVAL8219 which can raise and lower with an in-cab remote...

Hi Charlie! Having the front mount hitch already installed on your 2021 Toyota Tundra will indeed allow for the SnowBear Snowplow for 2" Hitches - 82" Wide x 19" Tall # K2AVAL8219 to be used. We actually have this a kit with the Curt front hitch # 31198 for those that don't already have one, so you are good to go with just the plow. Where are you located? We are supposed to get a pretty harsh winter here in Missouri this year.

Hey Joseph, For your 2018 Ford F150 with that # c31083 installed, the Snowbear # K2AVAL8219 would be a great option for a plow. It simply slides right into your 2" receiver and you are good to go. In terms of the hitch height the minimum height needed to use this plow is 14" from the ground to the center of the receiver opening, with a maximum of 17". Unfortunately I do not know the exact hitch height on your vehicle so you will have to take a measurement. If it is in that sweet spot...
