Shoveling or running a snow blower can wear you out. The Plowser lets you use almost any vehicle with a 2" hitch receiver to push that snow out of the way instead. And it won't scuff your driveway the way larger plows sometimes do.
Plowser works with the kinds of vehicles you already own. Your car, SUV, minivan, pickup, ATV, UTV, or riding mower can use it as long as it has a 2" hitch receiver. If you have a different size hitch receiver it can still work, you'll just need an adapter (sold separately). The blade moves when your vehicle does, so you don't have to hook up any hydraulics, pumps, wiring, or in-cab controls.
The Plowser installs in a couple of minutes. Just unfold the plow and secure the middle bar with the hinge pins, then slide it into your 2" hitch receiver and pin it in place. The included drop hitch helps you set the blade at the right height, since vehicles sit at different heights. You can mount it on the front or the rear depending on where your hitch is, and if you use it on the rear, most vehicles let you watch the blade through the backup camera while you plow.
Plowser handles the kind of snow people normally clear with a shovel or a snow blower. It's meant for residential driveways and personal vehicles, not big commercial lots or hours of nonstop plowing. It plows the usual storm accumulation, but it won't break through thick, compacted ice or snow that's higher than the blade. When the snow has frozen solid or piled into deep drifts, that's when you need commercial plows or contractor equipment.
Plowser uses a tough plastic edge instead of a steel cutting edge, so it moves across concrete, gravel, brick, or pavers without scraping the surface. That same edge is mounted on a spring-loaded hinge, which lets it tip back when it meets a rise or seam. That allows the edge to stay in contact with the ground while the blade keeps moving, avoiding the scuffs some plows leave as well as the missed patches caused by rigid blades.
At just over 60 lbs, most people can manage Plowser without help, and the carry straps give you something to grab when you're moving it around. When you're done plowing, it folds in half and lays flat, which makes it more compact than full-size plows and easier to fit in a garage or shed.
Note: Plowser is designed for straight plowing in one direction. Do not attempt to turn your vehicle to guide the snow.
The plowser worked really well on the flat surfaces on my property. I worked in shifts with this past snow storm, since my area got around 20 inches. It handled approximately 4-5 inches no problem.
While it worked great on the flat part, since I was using my Rav4, I had difficulty on the section of driveway that was on an incline. Since the plow does not lift, when going forward, snow is pulled with you. Then when you put vehicle in reverse, you need to drive over the little pile of snow that was dragged along as you went forward. The snow will go over the top of the plow as you push it to where you want it, causing the snow drag. This is where I'd get stuck when trying to plow the incline. I could push the snow down the driveway backwards, but my Rav was unable to get traction to go back up the incline. Once I cleared the snow by shovel, I went back out to clean up more with the plowser, and it did a fantastic job when i was able to get traction.
My driveway is dirt/gravel with some rocks in it. I took my time so I wouldn't jolt the plow too hard if I hit an uneven area/rock.
It was easy to assemble and install. Easy to take off. I am only 5'1" and i was able to assemble and attach/detach it, and fold it up on my own. Having a back up camera was very useful so I could see where the plow was in relation to my driveway.
Overall, it works great! Having a vehicle that can get traction on an incline would be even better!
I really enjoyed being able to put it on either my F-150 or my wife's RAV4. Not having a wiring setup on my truck and making it super simple is the biggest win for me. When I was done I collapsed it down and tucked it away in my garage with hardly any floor space taken up for the size of blade it is when plowing. I was really impressed at how well it worked for the few passes I got to use it for.
I do wish it had the ability to pivot the angle to have the option to push the snow off to the side. I felt like I still needed to shovel at the end of my driveway because it just made a large pile. It did make it easier to have all the snow in one place though. The pins and clips are kind of small for the gloves I was wearing. I wish they were tethered because I needed to store them in my pocket or try to find them on the ground when I was installing it and breaking it down. It did a pretty good job with the RAV4 but I was way more confident using my truck. Thats not a knock on the Plowser more so the strength it actually had and felt like the RAV4 couldn't push the snow anymore.
I was able to lift the Plowser out of the box and attach it to my pickup in about ten minutes. No tools needed. After a few practice runs, I was able to clear away 12+ inches of heavy snow from a 25' X 40' space on my gravel driveway in less than 30 minutes. It scrapped a very small amount of gravel, but only because I went over the same area a few times. I was skeptical about how well such a simple to use "folding, hitch-mounted snow plow" would work, but I must admit, the Plowser exceeded my expectations.
I like the Plowser snow plow because it keeps things simple and practical for everyday use. This is a really good option to clear a driveway or a small area without stepping up to a full heavy-duty plow.
It’s definitely more affordable compared to a lot of the bigger plow brands, but it still does what it’s supposed to do for normal residential snowfall. The hitch-mounted design makes setup straightforward, and there’s no need to mess with hydraulics or complicated wiring.
I also like that it’s lightweight and easy to store when the season’s over. For basic snow removal around the house, this feels like a smart, no-nonsense option that gets the job done without overspending.
Very easy to assemble.
Very weak, couldn't handle 8-10 inches of snow. Seems like this is more capable of handling small amounts of snow.
The hitch connector piece was all bent by the time I was done.
