Hi Chrystal!
You are indeed going to want a hitch for towing a small trailer. The hitches we have available for your 2019 Toyota C-HR XLE are going to Class 1 options with the 1-1/4" receiver, so there aren't any cargo carriers that a big enough to accommodate the chair, unfortunately. I found the specs for the Shoprider 6Runner 10 Powerchair, thanks for giving me the model, and it looks like it weighs 176 pounds and is 24" wide by 40" long. The closest option we have to that is the Curt # C18110, but it is only 19" wide. So towing a trailer does look to be the best option.
For that, you will want the following parts:
Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11567
Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118756
Curt Class I Drawbar - 3-3/4" Rise - 11-1/2" Long - 2,000 lbs # C45023
1-7/8" Hitch Ball - 3/4" Diameter x 1-5/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 2,000 lbs # C40001
Curt Hitch Pin and Clip for 1-1/4" Hitches - 1/2" Diameter x 2" Span # F-4
This would be full towing set up with everything you will need. Odds are the coupler on a small trailer that would be used for something like this would be a 1-7/8", but if it happens to be a 2", you would want to grab the 2" ball # C40018 instead of the one I have listed above. If you also wanted a locking pin instead of a standard pin, you could go with something like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock - Padlock Style for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # 5200 as well.
I know this is a lot of parts, so if you have any questions about any of them, just let me know!

Thanks Lazer, I'll discuss this with my family. Do you have any suggestions on the trailer we can use?
