Does The EcoHitch EH75KR Sit Lower Than The Curt Hitch C89RV On A 2024 Cadillac Lyriq?

Question:
Does the Stealth Hitch EH75KR sit lower than the Standard Hitch C62ZV on the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD? Are there any disadvantages to the Stealth Hitch over the Standard Hitch besides installation difficulty and price? The 2024 Lyriq AWD states “trailer prep” on the window sticker. What is involved in getting hitch wiring installed? What would need to be ordered, if anything, in addition to the hitch. Thank you.

Hi Lewis!
When we installed the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # EH75KR on a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, it sat 13.5" when measured from the ground to the inside top of the receiver and 4.5" from the edge of the bumper to the middle of the pin hole. We haven't had the chance to install the Curt # C89RV on a Lyriq yet, but when we installed it on a 2025 Equinox EV (which is on the same platform), we found it 11" and 8" from the edge of the bumper to the middle of the pin hole. I'm not sure how different the bumpers are between the Equinox and Lyriq, but there does look to be quite a difference in measurements. The EcoHitch is definitely more expensive, but I think it will be the better option.
For the wiring, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C44FR is what you are going to want. That "Trailer Prep" you found on the window sticker means you have components pre-installed that will let you plug this Curt harness in and be on your way, basically. You will need to remove the same fascia the hitch needs removed, so I would definitely do the install at the same time.
What are you going to be towing?
(side note: I used the # C89RV hitch for measurements instead of the # C62ZV as we haven't done an install with that hitch yet. The two hitches are basically identical and both fit the Lyriq as well.)

Thanks for the response! My only concern with the stealth hitch is if it sits lower and less ideal for towing and clearance. I am towing a 6x12x6.5 all aluminum enclosed trailer with dirt bikes. 1200lbs for the trailer and 1000lbs of bikes and gear. Thanks again.
