What Gauge Wires are in the Demco 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Electrical Cord w/ 6-Way Round Plug?

Question:
Doesnt anyone care about the wire gauge used in this assembly? I never see it mentioned in product demos so wondering why? In case anybody cares, wiring gauge controls how much current can be put through a wire. And current flow dictates how much charge I can put into my battery.

Hello Bob,
I was not able to find that information listed anywhere for the wire gauge used in the Demco 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Electrical Cord w/ 6-Way Round Plug # DM9523054, so I reached out to Demco directly. The # DM9523054 contains 2 14GA wires and 4 16GA wires. They did not tell me specifically which circuits use which gauge, but it is a very safe assumption that the 14 gauge wires are used for the power and ground.
I don’t think they list that information simply because the wire gauge is more than sufficient for what the cord is designed to do, although it would definitely be nice to have it published for peace of mind =)
Are you new to the flat tow world, or just getting a new vehicle set up?
