Hey Kim, congratulations on the new Jeep Gladiator! For the best setup you're going to want to go with Roadmaster, with the brake system as the only exception. I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5

-Roadmaster Falcon 3HD Tow Bar # RM27NQ

-Roadmaster 80" Hybrid Coiled-to-Straight Safety Cables # RM-674

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267 (if you DO NOT have ParkSense)

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR (if you DO have ParkSense)

-Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System # RVI94FR (includes a charge line)

The Shadow 2 is a permanent installation but you could also get the Curt RVi Series 4 # RVI44FR if you prefer a portable brake system. It doesn't include a charge line so you will also need the Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ for Flat Towing # RVI74FR. If you don't have a 12V outlet in the Gladiator you will need to add one using # RM-9332.

The only other thing you may need is a high-low adapter like the etrailer High-Low Adjustable Adapter for Tow Bars # e52ZV to keep your setup level. I attached a help article a little further down on this page which explains how to measure and choose the correct adapter.

Any big trips planned once you get your Gladiator all set up?

Hey Kim, how did your Gladiator flat tow setup come together with the Roadmaster gear? I’m curious which brake system you decided to go with in the end. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up their Jeep to tow.
