This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the versatility of a 2" x 2" receiver opening that works with most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers. Rated for 7,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 750 lbs tongue weight, it’s built to handle small campers, utility trailers, or gear haulers with confidence. When used with a weight distribution setup, capacity increases to 8,000 lbs GTW and 800 lbs TW for even more stability on the road.
The fully welded design bolts straight to your vehicle’s frame, so there’s no welding or drilling required. The mounting holes line up cleanly for an easy install using common tools. Great product, the box was a bit damaged when it arrived, but no product damage. This was definitely a two-person job, one to hold the receiver and one to start the bolts. However, taking off the bolts and the final tightening it was back to a one person job.
Note, the 21M was not part of my regualr socket set. (Trip one to Lowes.) I also needed an extention for the 3/4 bolts to untighten and retighten. (Trip two to Lowes.)
Honestly; I was not sure about the fishing wire steps, but it really worked out pretty easily. Looks great on the Gladiator, can't wait to get the bike rack on and go for a ride. Definatly would purcahse againI if needed a trailer hitch. It took about 45 minutes, minus the trips to Lowes.
Decided to install myself. Not recommended for a 67 year old but not that bad. Happy with the look and setup.

Glad of the purchase. It looks good and is very strong. I dont worry towing as I would with a lesser quality hitch.
It would have been easier on a lift but my wife and I did it while the Gladiator was parked on the floor.
Works great.
Install was straightforward and easy. Took about 30 minutes with an extra set of hands to hold up the weight of the hitch. I only deducted a star because there are some scratches on the hitch out of the box. Not sure if that happened during shipping or at the factory, but will require so paint correction to keep it from rusting over time. All in all very happy with the product.

That can occasionally happen during shipping or handling, but we definitely want to make sure it’s protected from rust long-term. Super easy to install
Very high quality and extremely easy to put on
Very pleased! Our first install with the crossmember mount failed and a bolt got stuck in the crossmember and another install of that type impossible (thanks UHaul!). This mount took minutes to install in my driveway and couldn't have fit better. Already took our first trip with the camper and it pulled like a dream. Included instructions and online video differ slightly with how to fish the carriage bolts and I found the way the video mentioned was extremely easy. I followed the steps from the video and with another person, we had it installed in 15 minutes.
Well, I watched the video how to install it before it got here, and it said anyone could do it with in 30 minutes. I had proper air tools at my house, and I had it on my truck with in 17 minutes, my nephew was timing me, that is after all unboxed and laid out. he did help me hold it in place to get the first bolt started to keep it from falling. but it was so easy just like the video said, and it's a great hitch, totally happy with it and the customer service they assist you with, and the lower style with the tubes showing match the Gladiator roughness anyway and looks good on it. thank you.
Install only took 40 minutes and one beer. Didn’t have the luxury of a lift or second set of hands but was able to use my knee to hold the other side up while I got bolts started on the opposite end. Word of advice is to start bolts on the passenger side if doing it solo as you can actually use the tire heat shield to wedge it against and hold the driver’s side up once you wrestle it into position.

After a year, no complaints here. The finish still looks great and the mounting hardware still looks good with no rust or discoloration. Would definitely buy again.

Fits perfect. I was able to install it by myself. I could have used an extra person for install to make it go faster but not necessary. The supplied tool to install the two additional bolts worked well. They made installation a breeze.
Strong and easy to understand how to in stall
It fit awesome! only issue the paint was scratched, but that was shipping no a etrailer issue.
Received product in perfect condition. Install was super easy and straight forward. You are deff gonna want an extra pair of hands for this. Watched the video on how to install and it’s really straight forward. All in all it took about 20 minutes to install with extra set of hands. Great project so far and the family can’t wait for our future adventures!

Easy to install and works like it should. Also looks good on the jeep. I put a aftermarket bumper on as well so it was simple with no issues to install
Was missing hardware kit took days to get one from factory don’t buy anything made by lippert the parts bag was a ziplock sandwich bag o wonder the installation parts were missing

after 1 year, I have had zero issues with this hitch pulling my travel trailer. this hitch is high quality and very heavy duty. I would definitely recommend this product.
