Is this something I could install myself on my 2025 Honda CR-V Touring, or should I have a shop do it? I don't' want the dealer to do it since it will be too much money . thank you, laura

You could definitely handle it if you’re comfortable with basic tools or have a helper, Laura. The TowSmart # TS67ZR install is all bolt-on - no welding or drilling. You’ll lower the exhaust, fishwire bolts through the frame holes, and torque everything to spec around 70–75 ft-lbs.
Most DIYers get it done in about an hour with a floor jack or set of ramps, but a lift is certainly easier.
If you’re planning to tow, add the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56370 for your trailer lights and the Ball Mount # e67DR. Please note that the 2024 Honda CRV needs an additional fuse to activate the tow package. You can easily find it at local auto parts or hardware store, and the owner's manual towing section of your vehicle shows where it goes.
