Snow Tire Chains For A 265/55R20 Tire On A 2025 Lexus GX550

Updated 11/26/2025 | Published 11/16/2025

Question:

Hi, I’m using your website for my GX550, and also attempted to find chains exclusive from the model. The dimensions aren’t available and I assume you don’t have chains for this tire size? 265/55R20 Need them in low profile if possible Thank you

Hi Seth!

That is a pretty unique tire size. Not the end of the world though. I contacted all the tire chain manufacturers we carry and came up with a couple options (both are low profile Class S chains) that will fit your 2025 Lexus GX550 with that 265/55R20 and have them listed below:

Titan Chain Cable Tire Chain - Ladder Pattern - Roller Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair # TC3029
Konig Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair # KON27GR

The right choice between these will depend on if you are going to actually need to use them or just prove that you have them.

The Konig Tire Chains # KON27GR are going to be more expensive, but they are by far the better choice, in my opinion. The diamond pattern always has chain on the ground (so the traction is better), the square links "bite" better (better traction again), and just being a chain offers better traction and strength than cables. These are also self tensioning, so they are a little easier to put on and you do not need to add any other parts for them to be used.

The Titan Cable Tire Chains # TC3029 will technically work, but not nearly as well or for as long (you should get a few uses out of them). They will get you out of a ticket or being turned away from mountain passes that require you to at least have the chains with you though. You will also need something like the Glacier Multi-Arm Tire Chain Tensioners # PW105 to make sure they do not whip around while driving.

So with all that said, what are you needing these for? Just to pass check points or for actual use?

Looks like the Konig are the way to go. I typically buy gear that is highly functional and durable; the self-tensioner is a must. Should I simply add the link you sent to the cart and purchase 2x sets? Thank you for your research on this! -Seth

@SethW I definitely agree. The Konig chains will be the best option for you. And yeah, just add that link to your cart and it will prompt you for you info and you are good to go! Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
